DOHA: Qatar's Rakan Al Harith won a silver in the men's pommel horse event at the 3rd Arab Championships in Oran, Algeria, today.

The competition kicked off last Sunday at Miloud Hadefi Olympic Complex, with the participation of 82 gymnasts representing seven countries in the U16, junior and senior categories.

"I congratulate Rakan on his achievement. I also extend my thanks to the technical and administrative staff for their unstinted support to promote gymnastics in the country," said Mr. Ali Al Hitmi, President of Qatar Gymnastics Federation.

Tomorrow, Mohammed Al Nahdi will participate in the junior category.
