Ukrainian national team successfully completes training camp

DOHA: The Ukrainian women's artistic gymnastics team successfully completed its joint training camp here on Thursday.

The camp started on October 21 and several training sessions were conducted with the women's artistic gymnastics team.

The technical staff was assured of these exercises for its players participating in local and foreign competitions.

It is worth noting that the Qatar Gymnastics Federation, headed by Mr. Ali Al-Hitmi, directed good preparations to receive the Ukrainian delegation.

Ukrainian coach Lulya expressed her gratitude and thanked Mr. Al Hitmi for the wonderful reception and warm hospitality.

She thanked coach Mohamed Sakran, coach of the girls’ national team, for his cooperation, and also thanked Mr. Mazen Taha, the technical secretary.

She praised the Union's permanent presence in the training hall and meeting all the camp's needs. She added that she is happy with the excellent sports climate and sports infrastructure that characterizes the State of Qatar and is unparalleled except in developed countries.

Ukraine's artistic gymnasts camps in Doha

DOHA: The Qatar Gymnastics Federation is currently hosting the training camp for the Ukrainian gymnasts within the framework of cooperation between the Qatar Gymnastics Federation and the Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation. 

This is not the first time that the Ukrainian national gymnastics team has camped in Doha. It is worth noting that the Ukrainian girls’ artistic gymnastics team is camping with two players, Anna and Diana, and upon request from coach Luliia.  

Regarding the extent of their benefit from this camp, Luliia  said, “First of all, we thank Qatar  Gymnastics Federation for hosting us and providing everything we need to make this camp a success. The QGF technical committee has prepared a wonderful training program for us." 

QGF coaches are supervising this programme. 

For his part, QGF President, Ali Al Hitmi, wished them a good stay in Doha. 

Qatari rhythmic gymnasts participate in championship in Moscow

DOHA: Qatar's rhythmic gymnastic team participated in the International Games Championship in Moscow from from October 20 to 22. 

Samira Saeed, head of the delegation, said, "The main goal of participating in the tournament is to interact with other training schools and benefit from this tournament by competing against the experienced gymnasts." 

"These gymnasts have international experience and are ranked high at the global level. The idea of competiting in the Moscow event is give exposure to our gymnasts."

She also added that the rest of the national team gymnasts are currently  participating in a joint training camp in Armenia. It will continue until October 28.

She pointed out that Armenia was chosen to hold the training camp because the Armenian gymnasts are distinguished by their high technical skills and experience. 

She added that gymnastics is an individual sport whose teams in various branches hope to continually achieve good results in multiple championships at the global, international, Arab, Asian and Gulf levels.

Kuwaiti artistic gymnasts attend joint training camp in Doha

DOHA: Within the framework of close cooperation between the Qatar Gymnastics Federation and Arab, Gulf and continental federations, the Kuwait Artistic Gymnastics Federation is holding a joint training camp with Qatar national team gymnasts.

The Qatar Gymnastics Federation has prepared a joint training program between Qatar and Kuwaiti gymnasts so that the gymnasts get enough preparations for the upcoming competitions.

For his part, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Rasoul, head of the Kuwaiti delegation, Mr. Khaled Al Mithen, director of the national team, and gymnasdts expressed their admiration for the training hall of the Qatar Gymnastics Federation.

Qatari Gymnastics Federation President, Mr. Ali Al Hitmi said that the joint training program will benefit the gymnasts from both the countries.

 

Qatar artistic gymnasts participate in FIG Gymnastics Challenge Cup in Turkey

DOHA: Qatar Gymnastics Federation delegation left for Istanbul to participate in the FIG Challenge Cup Mersin.

The delegation is led by QGF secretary general Ms Abeer Al Buainain.

The gymnast team consists of Salma Nasser (WAG) and Rakan Al Harith (MAG).

The Qatari arbitration is represented by international referee, Mahmoud Al Saadi.

"Participation in this championship will help our gymnasts with the kind of exposure they will get and competing against some of the best," said Al Buainain.

Al Buainain indicated the Federation’s Board of Directors, headed by Mr. Ali Al Hitmi, seeks to double the experience of our national team players through participation at the Gulf, international, Asian and Arab region.
